Bio
Dr. Ziteng Wang is an associate professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Northern Illinois University. His research interests include operations research, data analytics, and machine learning methods for supply chain, transportation, health, and production systems. He also works with companies in manufacturing, automobile, and transportation sectors to create, deploy, and improve systems for operational excellence. Dr. Wang's research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) AIM-AHEAD program, Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), Illinois Innovation Network (IIN), University of Illinois System, and industry partners. Dr. Wang directs NIU's AI Lab for Early Autism Diagnosis and Screening (AI-LEADS) to advance AI-powered, accessible autism screening technology. His research has been published in journals such as Naval Research Logistics, Transportation Research (Part B, Part C, Part E), and European Journal of Operational Research. Dr. Wang has served in multiple positions within INFORMS and IISE. He is also the founding faculty advisor of the INFORMS NIU Student Chapter. He currently serves on the INFORMS subdivision council.
